On Friday 2nd June pupils in Raasay Primary School took part once again in the local Skye Mod. Pupils in P1-7 all took part in individual singing and poetry competitions with all five coming back with gold and silver medals! They also entered as a Choral group singing their own composition ‘Tobhta Fearna’. The adjudicator awarded them 94/95 points and stated
“What a lovely song and what great Gaidhlig – if you weren’t in the learner competition I would have thought you were fluent”.
The school as a whole also won the Oban Rosebowl again this year for the most points gained by a non Gaelic Medium School.
Raasay pupils did themselves proud and this photo appeared in the West Highland Free Press this week (photo credit: Willie Urquhart, WHFP).
A huge congratulations to all!

Fantastic! Really well done to all of you. All best wishes, Jo and Pierre at Holoman.
