Young Islanders’ Challenge – Raasay Primary pupils have been working closely with the Young Island Network Development Officer Naomi MacDonald identifying key aspects of island life, what works well and what challenges exist for young people growing up on small islands. The children undertook a variety of challenges and key challenge questions creating posters, labelling diagrams and writing up a presentation. The boys then went on to present their findings via a Google Meets session with Naomi. Our next step is to have a three day workshop with the Carbon Neutral Islands Project worker focusing on key aspects relating to carbon reduction awareness and progressing some ideas through our young islands representatives in P1-7.
