The School took part in the RSPB ‘Big Bird Watch’ this week. Our special bird hide in the garden came into its own as we used it to observe all the birds around the garden. We had already been feeding the birds and making sure that there was plenty to attract them to our school grounds. We all had survey sheets to complete and used our binoculars to help us to identify all the different species. We collated our information and then entered it online to the RSPB database. We found lots of different birds were visiting the garden – the most common were: blackbirds, robins, sparrows, chaffinches and blue tits.
